Winners of the Modifier Contest

Ladies and Gentlemen we proudly present: The winners of the Blenderdiplom Modifier Competition. It was hard, but we did pick some winners.

Frederik Steinmetz studied biology in Berlin. After writing his diploma thesis about cave dwelling spiders, he discovered Blender in 2008. in 2010 he felt comfortable enough to model spiders and other animals and continued to texture rig and animate them. He Joined BlenderDiplom in late 2011 and is now casting tutorials on a regular basis.

    how about some info on how the winners achieved their awesome results. Very very nice. I love seeing such abstract art made with modifiers. Please share some of that knowledge with us.

    I'm really happy with the 'sort of ' second place in the photo realism category. I do have to say that you spelled davinade wrong in the gallery... because you wrote devinade:D

    Wow - thanks guys! This was a fun one to participate in... and a very unique Blender contest. Lots of great entries submitted too. I'll be looking forward to seeing what BlenderDiplom comes up with next.
